COLD ROLLED SPRING STEEL STRIPS

Spring steel normally contains carbon between 0.40 to 0.80 with alloy elements added that can withstand intense twisting and bending without becoming distorted. It is resilient and pliable, yet durable, which is perfect for a general use metal steel.

Baomit's spring steel strips are supplied in either annealed or hardened & tempered condition. Strip coils supplied in annealed condition is usually hardened after stamping and forming operation in component form. Hardened and tempered strips are more suitable for flat components or where the production is primarily laser cutting or plain blanking.

Cold Rolling

Cold rolled strip is a popular metal product within the aerospace, automotive, and agricultural industry where it is stamped, deep drawn, or formed using other methods for various applications. Baomit transforms hot rolled steel coils into cold rolled precision strips.

Slitting

Slitting is a process to separate a material at finish gauge and temper into the width as required. Apart from width, edge condition, coil support, coil inner diameter, coil size are all characteristics of the final product that are realized during final slitting.
